2. When 3 to 4 peers in a specific permaculture field have been identified, we will schedule weekends at a SE Ohio country inn for the interest group to discuss work skills, experience, goals, values, etc. These weekends are most vital in forming the community. We hope to assemble people who can become comfortable, both personally and professionally, with the idea of ongoing communication and regular coffee nights for brainstorming, etc.
This kind of communication is very important for the pre-community process as well as later life in the community. It is the beginning of connection and the answer to the separation and isolation of individuals that marks present day society. It is meaningful communication that is necessary and the key to forming a new community.
3. Toward the end of a weekend, if there is some agreement on cooperative possibilities in the group and it is desired (there will be no pressure for land sales), visits to the nearby community land can be planned. Development cost estimates are underway. We will try to keep prices at reasonable, affordable levels.
