The Community
This purposely small community is planned as a lifestyle to enhance opportunities for self reliance, multi-generational/family living, communication, and cooperation.  If you agree with historian Leopold Kohr, "Behind all forms of human misery lies bigness", you'll like our emphasis on human scale.

Permaculture Synergies seeks to offer an answer to corporate media's incessant call for consumption with it's emphasis on new, diverse, self-initiated activities. At the same time we hope to deal with the bamboozlement of people and the traditional problems of authority, power, and dependence which has usually meant taking most any job provided by others to meet high living costs established  by others and the inevitable feeling of loss of control of one's life by encouraging genuine communication among people with the aim of stimulating new shared activity, especially cooperative work.

Besides its human scale
and to counter the emptiness and time wasting of consumerism, this will be a  community that consciously seeks to further the human values, that society usually only pays lip service to, including; creativity, voluntary simplicity, flexibility, environmental awareness, conservation, face to face communication, shared learning, collaboration, and participatory democracy.

Our Economic Philosophy of Attending to the Basics includes;

    * Independent, home-based work
    * Matched work skills
/goals, in permaculture and
       and other areas, for collaborative work/learning
       within the community and over the internet.
    * Outside job opportunities in local towns,
       made more attractive as part time options.
    * All within a lower cost, simpler living setting
       including modest housing and future additions,
       perhaps cooperatively built.

Our New Environment

We are planning a community on 70+ acres for people with fundamental permaculture skills in such areas as alternate energy, food, and shelter production who seek the added dynamism and synergies of small group activity and work founded on one's real interests and passions that features:

    * Private 5+acre home/worksteads with housing choice.
    * Spacious common land for cooperative use including
       workshops, learning centers, and much more.
    * Access to towns, colleges, traditional part time work.
